Investigation Leadership Opportunity 

An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled senior leader who will be responsible for leading a team of experienced investigators who are responsible for conducting high-priority, complex investigations in relation to early childhood education and care services.

As the investigation leader, you will develop the investigative capability by building the skills and competency of staff to deliver investigative activities in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and government policy.

You will provide authoritative advice, information, and recommendations to senior management in relation to investigations, sanctions, and other compliance matters.

The position will collaborate with regional teams to lead strategic investigative planning, provide expert advice, enable knowledge sharing, and explore opportunities for continuous improvement.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position based in Melbourne CBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the conduct of complex investigations, including collecting evidence, conducting witness interviews, and writing reports.
  • Develop and implement effective investigation strategies and plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Identify, gather, and analyze evidence and information in a court-admissible manner.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on investigation-related matters.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Proven experience in investigation leadership or management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and government policy.
