Electrical Compliance Specialist

We are currently seeking an Electrical Inspector to fill a full-time, permanent role. This position is based out of our Tullamarine depot and involves ensuring compliance across the electricity distribution network.


Key responsibilities include attending to customer phone calls and enquiries, assisting with compliance issues related to rules, regulations, standards, and policies; consulting on switchboard and SLD drawings, metering and supply arrangements; conducting site meetings with customers and project managers; supporting the Network Connections team with all metering and connection or customer project queries; providing technical guidance to internal staff and electricity professionals; investigating and issuing customer defect notices; and facilitating and completing customer connections to the network.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will bring a solid understanding of regulatory requirements including ESA, ES(G)R's, VSIR's, AS3000, AS2067, AS3010, AS5033, AS5139 and VESI ISTC procedures. Proven skills in inspection, customer service, stakeholder engagement and ability to work autonomously or closely within a team environment are also essential.


Qualifications
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria to resolve complex issues in a creative and effective manner to meet customer and client objectives.
  • Prioritise workloads in a fluid environment.
  • Hold an A Grade Electrical Licence.
  • Have a G Class Electrical Inspectors Licence (V Class endorsement highly desirable).
  • Possess a Current Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Be in possession of an ESI Worker Card.
