About the Job

Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring compliance work for metering and servicing is undertaken.

The position will be based at our depot, servicing the electricity network. Main tasks involve:

  • Responding to customer phone calls and enquiries regarding compliance issues involving rules, regulations, standards, and policies.
  • Assisting customers with approvals of switchboards, metering, and supply arrangements.
  • Orchestrating and finalising exemptions process for electricity customers.
  • Site meetings with customers and project managers as requested.
  • Providing technical guidance to Registered Electrical Contractors and Licensed Electrical Inspectors.
  • Supervising distribution crews and conducting on-site audits of lines crews.
  • Attending, investigating, and issuing defect notices to customers.
  • Investigating customer complaints regarding defects in relation to metering and servicing appointments.
  • Assisting customer relations with investigations, finalisation, and closing of defects issued to customers.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • An A-Grade Electrical licence with a G Class Electrical Inspectors Licence.
  • An active Australian Drivers Licence.
  • Experience working within the electricity distribution network (highly desirable).
  • A sound understanding of all regulatory procedures related to electrical distribution.
  • Knowledge of systems and technical information with practical experience in electrical inspection and customer service delivery.
  • The ability to exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to resolve complex issues in a creative and effective manner.
  • The capacity to manage and prioritise workloads in a fluid environment.
