Employment Consultant Job Description

As a dedicated Employment Consultant, you will be responsible for guiding and supporting clients to achieve suitable employment opportunities, leading to sustainable outcomes. You will utilize your exceptional customer service skills to build rapport with clients, facilitate their employment journey, and help them overcome barriers to employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to manage the referral and intake process of job seekers into their chosen program.
  • Assess job seeker skills, abilities, and identify barriers and intervention strategies.
  • In consultation with our job seekers, develop and maintain work preparation strategies, job seeking strategies, tailored interventions (including other service providers), and employment support activities.
  • Reverse market job seekers to achieve sustainable employment opportunities.
  • Provide pre-employment assistance through vocational counselling, training, job search skills, and work trials/work experience to increase capacity for employment.
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use computer systems, with excellent data accuracy & note-taking.
  • Build rapport and maintain relationships with clients, peers, and job seekers.
  • Enjoy achieving KPIs – we prioritize securing meaningful work for vulnerable individuals.
  • Hold a current NDIS Worker Screening check or are willing to obtain one.
