The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • ">
  • Assisting clients with meal planning, preparation, and cooking as required">
  • Domestic tasks (cleaning, laundry, gardening, etc.)">
  • Providing transportation for clients to and from their destinations">
  • Acknowledging and responding to the needs of Aboriginal and culturally diverse individuals, and assisting them in integrating into our service">
  • Respecting clients' rights to their own views, values, and preferences">
  • Building relationships based on trust with clients and their families/advocates">
  • Relating to clients in a way that puts their needs first">
  • Facilitating and encouraging activities">
  • Enabling customer participation in decision-making processes for support and activities">
  • Working flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays">

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • NDIS Workers Screening or willingness to obtain one">
  • Full vaccination compliance with the Victorian government's mandate">
  • Current Police Check">
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate (current)">
  • A safe and reliable vehicle, with a valid Victorian driver's licence">
  • Working rights in Australia">
  • Capacity to meet the physical demands of the job">

It's a plus if you have a Human Services qualification or similar knowledge and experience in a related industry.
