The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Water Quality Management System (WQMS) frameworks to meet business requirements and comply with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) or any requirements specified by NSW Health.

Key responsibilities include providing specialist technical advice and support across WaterNSW, delivering water quality management policies, strategies, plans, and standards, and producing reporting required under the Water Quality System and regulatory requirements.

You will also manage the delivery of assurance activities such as system audits and system health checks, undertake extensive engagement with stakeholders, customers, and regulators, and review systems and frameworks to drive optimisation of WQMS and associated reporting.

We are looking for someone with a tertiary qualification in engineering, science, or a related discipline or equivalent experience, who has significant experience working in the development of supporting and/or implementation of documentation related to drinking water quality management.

In-depth knowledge of ADWG and other NSW regulatory requirements for the management of potable water supplies is also required, as well as exposure and understanding of drinking Quality Management Systems and the requirements of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.

A strong administrative and self-management skillset, including the ability to work to deadlines and resolve challenges quickly and professionally, with extensive stakeholder engagement experience, is highly desirable.
