Water Quality Management System Framework Lead

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals who are dedicated to ensuring the delivery of safe and clean drinking water to communities across NSW.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Water Quality Management System (WQMS) Frameworks to meet business requirements and comply with Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG).
- Provide specialist technical advice and support across WaterNSW to deliver water quality management policies, strategies, plans and standards.
- Manage the delivery of assurance activities (such as system audits & system health checks) of the WQMS and processes to ensure continued compliance with the Water Quality Policy and Operating Licence(s).
- Undertake extensive engagement with stakeholders, customers and regulators to develop relevant WQMS supporting documentation & support its implementation and manage the adherence to these activities across the business.
- Ongoing review of systems and frameworks to drive optimisation of WQMS and associated reporting, e.g., automation, accuracy, adequacy of indicators.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, science or a related discipline or equivalent experience, with significant experience working in the development of supporting and/or implementation of documentation related to Drinking water quality management.
- In-depth knowledge of ADWG and other NSW regulatory requirements for the management of potable water supplies, from catchment to customer.
- Significant exposure and understanding of drinking Quality Management Systems and the requirements of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines.
- Sound understanding of the water industry sector, work practices and systems relevant to drinking water supply.
- Strong administrative and self-management skills, including the ability to work to deadlines and resolve challenges quickly and professionally, with extensive Stakeholder engagement experience.
