About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Product Owner to join our team at Helia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to our agile team, enabling the delivery of value in line with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define Product Vision: Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop a clear product vision aligned with our business strategy.
  • Lead the Squad: Inspire and motivate the team to achieve their goals, establishing a roadmap and product backlog that maximizes value.
  • Prioritize and Plan: Regularly prioritize the product backlog and work with the team to define the sprint backlog, ensuring effective use of resources.
  • Elaborate User Stories: Assist in the elaboration of epics, themes, and features into user stories that are granular enough to be achieved in a single sprint.
  • Communicate Vision: Convey the product vision and goals to the team at the beginning of every sprint.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Participate in daily scrums, sprint planning meetings, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.
  • Acceptance Testing: Facilitate acceptance testing of each user story and sprint, ensuring the product increment is releasable.
  • Provide Feedback: Offer constructive feedback to the team on their work, processes, and interactions.
  • Communicate with Stakeholders: Communicate with other Product Owners, coordinate on shared changes, and share learnings.
  • Define KPIs and Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators and metrics to measure the success of infrastructure products and services.
  • Report to Stakeholders: Provide regular reports and presentations to stakeholders on product performance, progress, and future plans.
  • Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with infrastructure products, including security, compliance, and operational risks.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure infrastructure products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices, working closely with security and compliance teams.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a Product Owner or Infrastructure Manager role.
  • Technical Skills: Solid understanding of IT infrastructure components, including networking, storage, compute, and cloud services.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or relevant infrastructure certifications.
  • Experience: Experience in mid to large-scale enterprise environments, with experience in DevOps practices and tools.
  • Other: Experience with regulatory compliance and data privacy considerations in APRA regulated Financial Services organizations.
