About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced platform engineer to join our team. As a senior platform engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our SaaS platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, test, and support platforms, tooling, and software applications with high quality, reliability, and performance standards.
  • Help design and implement secure-by-design environments with customer data privacy concerns in mind.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other team members.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.
  • Take ownership of feature productionisation, robustness, and scalability.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure software applications integrate with other systems as required.
About the Position

This is a challenging role that requires drive, autonomy, and strong problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for leading technical streams of work, guiding implementation phases, and translating high-level requirements into work items for engineers.

  • Determine plans of attack on large projects and guide implementation phases.
  • Act as Technical Lead on streams of work within the team.
  • Tackle complex architectural challenges and apply architectural standards on new projects.
  • Mentor junior members of the team.
  • Identify gaps and technical debt and help shape them into future streams of technical work.
  • Help define and ensure data compliance/governance in accordance with different frameworks and legislation across the globe.
Requirements:
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Extensive experience crafting and building software using the latest delivery techniques.
  • A passion for quality, clean code, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to motivate self and others.
  • Ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Consideration of customer impact when making technical decisions.
