**Microsoft Platform Expert**:

**About the role**:
An expert in Microsoft Business Intelligence (MSBI), Power BI, SQL and Azure data tools (Data Factory, Databricks, etc) combined with significant business experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics, you understand the value of data in business. In addition to your passion for data visualisation, you'll be able to develop models, prototypes, reports, or dashboards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain Power BI data models, reports and dashboards using M Query
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs
- Develop ELT pipelines in and out of data warehouse using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Develop and maintain documentation on data sources, data models and report specifications
- Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decisions
- Develop and maintain standard practices and procedures for the development and deployment of Power BI solutions
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI development and M Query.
- Integrate on-premises infrastructure with public cloud AZURE infrastructure.

**Ideal Experiences**:

- Significant experience in a similar role using Power BI
- Extensive, commercial, hands-on experience across the Microsoft BI stack (SSIS / SSRS / SSAS)
- An expert in SQL and SQL Server
- Experience and knowledge of the Azure data tools; Databricks, Data Factory, blob storage and data lake
- Experience with Azure (or AWS) migration to the cloud
- Currently working in a complex enterprise data warehouse environment
- Able to quickly build strong relationships with decision-makers and become their trusted advisor
- Solid Agile environment experience
- Experience with Python programming for data
- Knowledge and experience of DWH, BI and analytics best practice
- Ability to develop requirements into actionable business analytics strategies, roadmaps and data solutions
