Role Overview: This senior leadership position shapes the future of Melbourne's public and cultural landmark, overseeing operations, assets, and the annual capital works program at Fed Square.

The role encompasses diverse responsibilities including property management, contract oversight, asset management, and delivery of the annual capital works program. Success involves balancing strategic vision with hands-on operational leadership — working across cultural institutions, hospitality partners, tenants, contractors, and government agencies.

Fed Square is the gateway to the art precinct - and as Melbourne's public square it is the civic, cultural and community heart of the city. It is home to four of Victoria's major cultural institutions: ACMI - Australia's Museum of Screen Culture, the Koorie Heritage Trust (KHT), Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio (MESS) and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia along with an array of restaurants and cafes.

Key Responsibilities:

This senior leadership role requires proven experience in senior leadership in precinct or asset management, with expertise in operations, property or asset management, and delivery of capital works projects.

Responsibilities include:

  • Bringing proven senior leadership in precinct or asset management with the experience to oversee property, tenancy, operational excellence, and delivery of capital works projects.
  • Demonstrating strength in stakeholder engagement, commercial acumen, and high-level negotiation, backed by strategic thinking and a proven track record in delivery.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years at senior leadership level with expertise in operations, property or asset management.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, project or facilities management are highly regarded, with postgraduate studies a plus.
