Regulatory Expert

We are the payments platform of choice for top companies worldwide, delivering seamless payments across various channels.

The role involves monitoring legislative and policy developments to advise on their impact. The successful candidate will represent the team on workstreams and drive regulatory strategy.

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with strong analytical and communication skills, as well as pragmatic and strategic thinking. They will collaborate with internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters in Australia and New Zealand.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor regulatory developments and advise on their impact.
  • Represent the team on workstreams and drive regulatory strategy.
  • Operationalise regulatory requirements for Adyen.
  • Collaborate and provide advice and support on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Manage routine and ad hoc regulatory requests and filings.
  • Advise on matters with merchants, service providers, and stakeholders in line with commercial and strategic objectives.

About You:

  • You are a qualified lawyer in Australia.
  • You have strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have research, statutory interpretation, and organisation skills.
  • You can conduct analysis of policy issues.
  • You have at least 3+ years experience in a regulatory or legal role.
  • You have working knowledge of the payment industry, retail banking, acquiring, and finance.
  • You are a critical thinker, strategic, and have innovative problem-solving skills.
  • You have a strong sense of initiative, independence, and ability to take ownership.
