About the Role Sydney Water is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Regulatory Advisor to lead research and analysis on regulatory, economic, pricing and competition matters.
This is a pivotal role within our team, contributing to Sydney Water's engagement with regulators, including IPART, and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Develop and present recommendations on strategic projects, particularly those shaping corporate and pricing strategy.
Lead regulatory review workstreams and submissions, championing Sydney Water's position to stakeholders like IPART.
Collaborate across teams to assess financial and customer impacts of pricing and regulatory decisions.
Provide strategic advice and stakeholder engagement to ensure regulatory processes are implemented effectively and in a timely, compliant manner.
Conduct economic and financial modelling to support regulatory submissions and apply outcomes from regulatory determinations.
Monitor and analyse regulatory trends and reforms across the water industry and broader utilities landscape to inform strategy.
Skills and Experience Minimum 5 years' experience in senior advisory or policy roles within Government or similar sectors.
Exceptional written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and engage with subject matter experts.
Strong capability in translating complex data and analysis into accessible reports for non-specialist audiences.
Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks and Government policy processes.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and sound data analysis skills.
