Job Summary:

As a Production Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of our manufacturing work center. Your primary responsibilities include supervising staff, planning and developing manufacturing methods, processes, and operations for new and existing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing methods, processes, and operations to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Supervise staff to ensure effective use of materials, equipment, and personnel in producing quality products at minimum costs.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the work center.

Performance Management:

  • Manage employee performance by clearly defining job responsibilities and standards of performance.
  • Provide clear, thorough, timely feedback and address performance problems through corrective action.
  • Evaluate and appraise employee's performance and follow-up with proper documentation.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Investigate and address employee complaints and follow up with Manager and HR as required.
  • Understand HR policies and practices and use them to manage employees.
  • Support all company safety initiatives and assure compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA safety regulations for assigned shift.

Communication and Teamwork:

  • Hold formal and informal meetings with team members as required to ensure high-quality information flows smoothly up and down the organization.
  • Encourage open expression of ideas and opinions.
  • Develop and maintain the departmental cross-functional training matrix to support production and fill in for vacancies as needed through minimal use of overtime.
