
Senior Operations Coordinator

We are seeking an accomplished professional to oversee day-to-day operations of a prestigious engineering company in Hobart, Tasmania.
The successful candidate will be directly responsible for 5 employees and will be expected to perform various tasks including:
- Generating quotes, managing, and charging projects
- Procuring essential materials and sub-contract services
- Negotiating with customers and suppliers
- Leading a small team
The ideal candidate will have prior management experience, excellent communication and organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team. They will also have a positive attitude to workplace safety and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
The role may change to meet the overall objectives of the organisation, but the successful candidate will be expected to take on additional responsibilities as required by management and other department personnel.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing metal production processes to ensure efficiency and productivity
- Developing and implementing strategies to improve operational performance
- Coordinating with internal teams to achieve project goals
- Maintaining accurate records and reports to track progress and performance
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a senior leadership or management position
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve desired outcomes
