Senior Engineer - Secondary Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer - Secondary to join our team in Melbourne. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering accurate technical designs that support field staff, customers, and colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience leading complex secondary systems design projects. They will also possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

In this role, you will work closely with our construction and operations teams to ensure that designs are practical, constructible, and refined through real-world feedback. You will also contribute to the development of innovative solutions for high-voltage infrastructure, including transmission projects, HV substations, wind farms, and battery storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver accurate technical designs that meet customer requirements
  • Lead complex secondary systems design projects from conception to completion
  • Collaborate with construction and operations teams to ensure designs are practical and constructible
  • Develop and implement innovative solutions for high-voltage infrastructure
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Proven experience leading complex secondary systems design projects (7+ years)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
