We are seeking an experienced professional to lead the design and development of primary electrical systems for high-voltage substations and transmission projects.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing primary electrical systems, including layout planning, equipment selection, and integration of systems up to 500kV. They will also prepare detailed design documentation, including single-line diagrams, general arrangement drawings, and equipment specifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of high-voltage electrical equipment and system configurations, as well as experience in preparing technical specifications and conducting design reviews.

They will also have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive design integration.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in primary electrical design for high-voltage substations and transmission systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as Auto CAD, ETAP, and PLS-CADD.
  • Strong understanding of Australian grid codes and regulatory requirements.
