Lead Design Engineer - High Voltage Systems

This is an exciting opportunity to join our highly regarded in-house design and engineering team. As a Lead Design Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate technical designs while supporting field staff, customers and colleagues.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience leading complex secondary systems design projects. They will be able to produce accurate precision designs required for secondary protection and control (PAC) systems in the high voltage utility and renewable sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver complex internal and external secondary system design projects
  • Check secondary system design outputs
  • Support field staff, customers and colleagues
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex secondary systems design projects
  • 7+ years experience in a similar role within Energy/Electrical utilities or renewable industries
  • High-level communication and stakeholder engagement skills
