As a Head of Planning, you will be responsible for developing and executing the planning strategy for our Collins Class Submarine (CCSM) Maintenance Activities, Life of Type Extension (LOTE), and SSN Sustainment programs. You will work closely with key program stakeholders to ensure the efficient planning and close out of all work packages.

Key responsibilities include:

* Developing and executing the planning strategy for CCSM, LOTE, and SSN Sustainment programs
* Effectively managing, tracking, reporting, and reallocating budget as necessary to ensure optimized allocation across engineering and planning
* Developing planning frameworks for decision-making and governance arrangements to empower teams to make informed decisions
* Overseeing and supporting planning services for CCSM, LOTE, and SSN Sustainment programs
* Reporting on planning function performance and compliance in accordance with business and program requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, management, or a similar field
* 10+ years' experience in a project management, planning, or operations role (ideally in defense/shipbuilding)
* Experience using Primavera P6
* Proficiency and experience in creating engineering work packages for large-scale projects
* Demonstrated ability to identify and implement interventions and high-quality solutions to complex problems
* Ability to lead high-performing teams in complex environments
