Health and Safety Professional

We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our team at our client's mine site in Queensland's Central Highlands Region. This is a full-time opportunity with a 9 days on, 5 days off roster, with Fly-In-Fly-out from Brisbane or Drive-In-Drive-Out for a local candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with client and ISS HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Consult with stakeholders on a regular basis to drive performance delivery.
- Develop and deliver safety and toolbox meetings.
- Undertake and advise on safety audits.
- Assist with return to work programs.
- Coach and mentor staff on HSEQ processes.
- Provide technical advice.
- Identify and facilitate best practice standards and solutions.
- Assist with incident investigations and safety reports.
- Support the Site Safety Manager with daily tasks.
- Provide on-site expertise for all Health and Safety matters.
- Manage the environmental portfolio, covering legislative and contractual requirements.
- All flights to and from site, and all meals and accommodation while onsite are paid for.

- Certificate IV OH&S or higher.
- Knowledge of safety systems and databases.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant OH&S legislation.
- Relevant industry experience as a HSE Advisor.
- Must have Environmental background.
- Ability to undertake regular travel to site as per FIFO roster.
- Current Coal Board Medical and Pre-Employment Functional Assessment or willing to obtain.
- Current Standard 11 Certificate or willing to obtain.
