About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our industry engagement and commercialisation efforts in the science and engineering sector. As Director, Industry Engagement and Partnerships, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships with industry partners, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge transfer, and driving the commercialisation of university research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage with industry partners and stakeholders, identifying opportunities for collaboration and knowledge transfer.
  • Lead a team of research commercialisation professionals to build and maintain relationships with industry partners, and drive the commercialisation of university research.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for funding and investment, working closely with industry partners and stakeholders to develop and implement successful projects.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including academics, researchers, and other university staff, to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proven track record in establishing and maintaining long-term industry relationships and commercialisation activities.
  • Demonstrated management of a high-performing team, with experience in leading and developing staff to achieve business objectives.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
