About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our industry engagement and partnerships efforts in the science and engineering sector. As Director, Industry Engagement and Partnerships, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to build strong relationships with industry partners, secure research funding, and drive innovation and commercialisation of QUT's research outputs.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of establishing and maintaining long-term industry relationships, managing high-performing teams, and driving business development initiatives. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement industry engagement and partnerships strategies to drive research funding and commercialisation
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, including senior executives and researchers
  • Lead and manage a high-performing team of research commercialisation professionals
  • Drive business development initiatives to secure research funding and partnerships
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and pursue new business opportunities
What You'll Need
  • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline area or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining long-term industry relationships and commercialisation activities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage high-performing teams
