Position Overview

We are looking for a Water & Wastewater Engineer to enhance our team. Reporting directly to the Director of Water & Wastewater, you will be supported by a national team of over 260 specialists. Your primary responsibility will be to lead a project delivery team, ensuring that client commitments are met while fostering client trust and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee significant water and wastewater projects, managing all phases from initial planning to detailed design and construction.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Act as a primary technical advisor within the team.
  • Collaborate with various teams and offices to ensure a cohesive design strategy.
  • Provide expert technical input for feasibility assessments and conceptual designs.
  • Conduct construction cost estimations for budgeting and funding purposes.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage the planning and design of project components, including reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Engage with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, regulatory bodies, and the public to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure planning and project management.
  • Proficiency in water and wastewater network modeling.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Ability to contribute to business development efforts and pursue new projects.
  • Established history of leading technical engineering teams and successfully managing water and wastewater initiatives.
