Position Overview

We are looking for a Water & Wastewater Engineer to be based in our offices. This role will involve direct reporting to the Director of Water & Wastewater, supported by a national team of over 260 specialists. The successful candidate will lead a project delivery team, ensuring client commitments are met while fostering client trust and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee significant water and wastewater projects, managing all phases from initial planning to detailed design and construction.
  • Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering their professional development.
  • Act as a primary technical advisor within the team.
  • Collaborate with various teams and offices to ensure a cohesive design approach.
  • Provide expert technical input for feasibility studies and conceptual designs.
  • Conduct construction cost estimates to assist in budgeting and securing funding.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver technical presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage the planning and design of project components, including reports, hydraulic models, design calculations, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Engage with clients, sub-consultants, contractors, regulatory bodies, and the public to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure planning and project management.
  • Proficiency in water and wastewater network modeling.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Extensive project management experience.
  • Ability to contribute to business development efforts and pursue new client opportunities.
  • Established history of leading technical engineering teams and successfully delivering water and wastewater projects.
