Animal Welfare Investigator Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced animal welfare investigator to join our team at the Greyhound Welfare and Integrity Commission. As an investigator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and upholding high standards of animal welfare.

What We're Looking For:

  • Probing Interviewing Skills: You excel at uncovering the truth through skillful interviewing techniques and effective fact-finding abilities.
  • Regulatory Experience: You have previous experience in a regulatory environment, providing you with a solid foundation to navigate the complexities of investigations in a compliant manner.
  • Investigative Qualifications or Experience: While a qualification in investigation is desirable, demonstrated experience in conducting thorough and meticulous investigations will also be highly regarded.
  • Stellar Communication Skills: You possess excellent communication abilities, enabling you to effectively engage and connect with a diverse range of stakeholders throughout the course of your work.

A talent pool may be created through this recruitment process. A talent pool represents a group of applicants who have been assessed and identified as suitable for this role or similar roles and who may be considered for a range of similar roles, including temporary or ongoing roles, over the next 18 months.

Educational Requirements:

To be eligible to apply for ongoing employment at GWIC, you must be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia.

Salary Information:

The estimated salary for this role ranges from $101,947 to $112,849 per year, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading. The total remuneration package includes base salary, plus benefits.
