Facilities Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the delivery of facilities management across our North region. As a key member of our Property department, you will work with in-house teams and external contractors to ensure efficient facilities management across operational and tenanted properties.

The successful candidate will have experience in property asset management, maintenance planning, and stakeholder management. You will also possess budget management skills with a focus on cost control and financial planning.

A trade qualification is required, for example, plumbing, gas, electrical or fabric. Additionally, a full driving license and ability to travel as required are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of facilities management services across our North region, covering approximately 30 properties.
  • Oversee estate improvement projects, ensuring they are delivered efficiently and safely within live operational environments.
  • Coordinate the delivery of a range of facilities management services with contract partners.
  • Manage budgets, track expenditure, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure services are delivered in a cost-efficient manner.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in property asset management and maintenance planning.
  • Budget management skills with a focus on cost control and financial planning.
  • Trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, gas, electrical, or fabric).
  • Full driving license and ability to travel as required.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Managing Safety qualification desirable.
