Job Title: Mining Engineer

A dynamic and experienced professional is sought to join our team as a Mining Engineer.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in mining engineering, who can provide innovative solutions to complex problems. The successful candidate will have excellent technical skills, a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

The role involves developing safe and efficient mine designs and schedules, preparing and delivering short-term mine plans and schedules that optimize safety, productivity, and cost. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, contribute to drill & blast plans, support continuous improvement initiatives, and build strong working relationships with technical and operational teams.

About the Role:
  • Develop and implement safe and efficient mine designs and schedules.
  • Prepare and deliver short-term mine plans and schedules that optimize safety, productivity, and cost.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure designs are executable and aligned with production goals.
  • Contribute to the design and execution of drill & blast plans.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the planning function.
About You:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mining or Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in a mining environment.
  • Exposure to or understanding of short-term planning and drill & blast principles (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proactive problem solver with a desire to grow technical capabilities and planning expertise.
  • Experience with mine planning software such as SPRY, Deswik, Vulcan, or similar CAD-based platforms.
