Health and Physical Education Teacher

This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives by shaping their physical education and overall well-being.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Health and Physical Education Curriculum and be able to engage students with a focus on student achievement and high expectations.

Key responsibilities include leading the Specialist Basketball program, promoting it in the community, liaising with parents, and coordinating extra-curricular activities such as competitions, carnivals, and games.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Capacity to teach the Certificate II Sports Coaching (Basketball)
  • Association level coaching qualifications (level 2)
  • Current experience coaching high-level teams
  • Manual LR or above driver's license

Eligibility

To be eligible for this position, you must:

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment
  • Apply for a WA Working with Children Check before starting
  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before starting
