The School

Harrisdale Senior High School (SHS) is one of the largest schools in Western Australia, attracting students from diverse geographic, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds. With a student population of over 2300, approximately 180 teaching staff, and 70 support staff, the school offers an inclusive and comprehensive education for Years 7 to 12. The Role

Harrisdale SHS is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Health and Physical Education teacher to join our high-performing team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving and growing school community that values academic excellence, wellbeing, and student engagement.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience teaching Years 7 to 10 Health and Physical Education, with a strong understanding of effective Health and Physical Education pedagogy and the ability to deliver engaging, skills-based lessons. Experience in Senior School is desirable, particularly in ATAR or General Physical Education Studies and/or Health Studies. The capacity to deliver Certificate II in Sport Coaching and/or Certificate II in Sport and Recreation will also be highly regarded.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
