About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist and Data Manager to join our team at the Health Services Research Association of Australia & New Zealand. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and analyzing large datasets, developing data-driven solutions, and leading the PACOP data team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the PACOP dataset, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and implement data analysis and reporting tools to support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Lead the PACOP data team, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data needs and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data management and analysis.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree with a strong mathematical/statistical component, preferably at postgraduate level.
  • Demonstrated experience in data management, project management, and data analysis and modeling with large datasets using SAS and R.
  • Experience with automated workflows and a broad understanding of the Australian health and/or aged care systems.
