About The Role
This position plays a vital role in supporting Case Managers and the team in delivering a comprehensive support service for children, young people, and their families.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated commitment to the values that underpin our vision and purpose. They will also have awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, along with experience working with Aboriginal children and families in a culturally respectful manner.
Key responsibilities include engaging vulnerable children, young people, and their families in outreach work activities, and having a good understanding of the Out-of-Home Care (OOHC) service system.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- A certificate in community services or a related field
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children's Check
- Victorian Driver Licence
Essential Skills and Qualities:
- Strong knowledge of Aboriginal communities and cultures
- Culturally competent practice when working with Aboriginal children and families
- Experience in outreach work with vulnerable populations
- Good understanding of the OOHC service system
