Aboriginal Child Welfare Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Aboriginal Child Welfare Specialist to join our team.

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing casework and case management services for Aboriginal children in out-of-home care, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
  • Key duties include conducting regular visits to fostered children to assess their needs and provide ongoing support, working closely with foster carers to identify training and support needs, and implementing Cultural Support Plans to ensure the cultural safety and well-being of fostered children.

Requirements include a Certificate, Diploma or Degree qualification in Community Services, Social Worker, valid Police Check, Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence, current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended).
