Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our data center operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center infrastructure, including server and network hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 7x24 roster duty in data center operations, ensuring the highest level of operational standards.
  • Act as an incident first responder and provide onsite hands-on support to resolve technical issues.
  • Perform break-fix and troubleshooting tasks according to established process guidelines.
  • Maintain proper media operations, adhering to process guidelines to ensure data integrity.
  • Assist with capacity landing and decommissioning, following process guidelines to ensure seamless operations.
  • Contribute to site management and maintain a tidy operation area.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Degree or High Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in server/network hardware and operation systems maintenance/troubleshooting.
  • Experience in network cabling, including optical cabling.
  • Strong understanding of incident response and prioritization.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry experience in data center operations.
  • Knowledge of data center networking and cloud computing.
  • Understanding of continuous process improvement and security best practices.
