A leading manufacturer seeks a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Service team as a Field Service Fitter based out of Launceston, Australia.
Job Overview:This role involves providing onsite technical support on Hitachi equipment including diagnostics, repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, and customer service etiquette.
Key Responsibilities:- Performing diagnostic tests, repairs, and maintenance tasks on heavy machinery
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers
- Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Conducting work in compliance with quality and safety standards
- Minimum Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline
- OEM or earthmoving equipment experience highly regarded
- Current driver's license required
- Ability to work autonomously and solve technical issues proactively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies
- Fully maintained tool-of-trade vehicle
