We are seeking an experienced Housing/Shelter Team Lead to join our team. In this critical role, you will provide leadership and support to both staff and residents, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment that fosters collaboration and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and direction to staff and residents, empowering them to work together as a cohesive unit
  • Act as a liaison between residents and management, resolving conflicts and addressing concerns in a fair and timely manner
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve resident satisfaction and engagement, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to drive positive change
  • Conduct regular inspections and follow-ups to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Build relationships with community partners and organizations to enhance services and support for residents
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends, applying knowledge to inform decision-making and drive results

Requirements:

  • Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a related field, preferably in a leadership or supervisory capacity
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively
  • Knowledge of social issues related to homelessness, mental illness, and addiction
  • Training in crisis intervention and harm reduction approaches
