Housing Shelter Support Coordinator

This role provides support and guidance to both staff and residents in a housing/shelter environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and assistance to the team and residents.
- Advocate for residents, resolve challenging issues, respond to medical emergencies, and maintain a safe environment.
- Ensure incidents are handled appropriately, de-escalate conflicts, and take necessary actions.
- Collaborate with residents to develop support plans, conduct wellness checks, assist with activities, and maintain accurate files.
- Engage with partner agencies, respond to medical emergencies, and provide first aid when necessary.
- Oversee daily shelter operations, prioritizing resident and staff safety.
- Post-secondary education in a related human services field.
- Minimum two years of recent experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
