Housing Shelter Leadership Role

The Housing/Shelter Team Lead position is a key role within our organization, responsible for providing leadership and support to both staff and residents in a shelter/housing site.
This critical role is essential in living out our mission and values, creating a nurturing atmosphere of home and family where all are welcome.
The successful candidate will advocate for residents, resolve difficult or sensitive issues, respond to medical emergencies, and maintain a safe and welcoming environment for a marginalized population.
- Provide authentic and engaging leadership and support for the team and residents
- Delegate and oversee daily tasks
- Respond to medical emergencies
- Collaborate with the team to engage residents
- Assist with resident support plan development
- Perform wellness checks
- Maintain an active file for each assigned resident
- Liaise with partner agencies
- Oversee daily tasks
- Collaborate with the team on how to engage residents
This role requires strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently and show initiative and creativity.
