Business Development Leader

We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated professional to join our commercial team. As a key member, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging and converting prospective leads into projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Technical and Sales teams to develop strategies for conversion of projects;
  • Identify, manage and expand large client accounts (mining companies, partners);
  • Create leads and build a customer / agent network through prospecting;
  • Develop and present effective proposals to prospective customers with support from the Technical and Sales team;
  • Coordinate contract negotiations with management;
  • Ensure a healthy pipeline and future sales growth;
  • Analyze markets, trends, competition, portfolios, technologies, and revenues;
  • Provide ideas on how to expand and improve our offering based on market feedback;
  • Effectively communicate our value proposition to prospective customers.
Requirements
  • 6+ years international sales / business development experience, with a strong proven record of success;
  • Background in industrial / water treatment sector, or mining equipment, or mining design solutions;
  • A strong network in South-East Asia;
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills;
  • Self-motivated with a strategic mindset;
  • Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) or equivalent skills;
  • Industry knowledge specific to water treatment;
  • Metallurgy experience desirable but not essential.
