Disability Support Services Manager

The University of Adelaide is seeking an exceptional leader to manage its Disability Support services.
Job DescriptionAs the Disability Support Services Manager, you will be responsible for providing operational and strategic leadership to the Disability Support team. This includes managing Disability Advisors and Senior Disability and Disability Support Officer staff, ensuring the delivery of comprehensive, responsive, and effective Disability Support services to students at the University.
You will oversee services for students at risk of discrimination and ensure that the University meets its commitments under the Disability Standards for Education Act 2005 and the Disability Discrimination Act 1992. Additionally, you will drive the strategic development and execution of the University's Disability Inclusion Action Plan.
Key Responsibilities- Operational management of Disability Support services, including team leadership and service coordination
- Strategic development and implementation of the University's Disability Inclusion Action Plan
- Ensuring compliance with disability legislation and standards
- Leading a team of Disability Advisors and Senior Disability and Disability Support Officers
For this role, we are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in human services, particularly in access, inclusion, and wellbeing. You should have demonstrated experience in service coordination, leading teams, and driving innovation and continuous improvement.
A sound knowledge of disability legislation, including its relevance to education providers, is essential. You should also have excellent interpersonal and administrative skills, as well as the ability to meet competing deadlines.
This position requires a valid Working with Children Check.
