Operations Manager Role

Seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily operations at a container park.

The role involves managing container movements, yard planning, and equipment utilisation to ensure high service levels for internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet/exceed productivity and operational performance targets
  • Manage labour and equipment costs within allocated budgets
  • Effectively communicate with Supervisors regarding resource allocation and customer requests
  • Ensure responsible allocation of resources and management of employee leave
  • Implement controls relevant to Park operations as per Traffic Management Plan requirements
  • Accountability and responsibility for the performance management of direct reports
  • Coach, mentor, and directly supervise employees
  • Maintain employee productivity to meet customer service level agreements
  • Maintain employee engagement and positive workplace culture that fosters great performance
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement in productivity and operational processes
  • Manage local damage claims in collaboration with other managers
  • Act as key point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders regarding containers and equipment
  • Day-to-day management of customer operational requests and allocation to correct teams
  • Improve response time to customer requirements
Skills and Qualifications:

Must possess excellent communication skills, leadership abilities, and experience in managing operational teams.

Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make informed decisions quickly.

Proficient in budget management and cost control.

Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret data and implement process improvements.
