Deputy CFO - Multinational Engineering Services Group

We are a leading multinational engineering services group, backed by private equity investors, with a strong presence in Australia, North America, and Europe. Our company has achieved exceptional growth and is now poised for a strategic sale or initial public offering (IPO) in the next three years.

Role Overview:

As the Deputy CFO, you will report directly to the Group CFO and lead the group finance function. This senior leadership role includes financial control, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), treasury, compliance, and commercial finance activities, creating the financial infrastructure to support the company's aggressive growth journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of monthly, half-yearly, and annual reporting.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing and efficient finance team.
  • Ensure that cash flow, treasury, and general working capital requirements are monitored and maintained.
  • Identify and execute process, policy, internal control, and systems improvements.
  • Support the CFO in growth strategies, including acquisitions, joint ventures, and continued organic expansion, including new international territories.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACA), or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) certification.
  • 10+ years in a senior finance role with experience managing scale and growth.
  • Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A proven track record in implementing and/or re-engineering financial systems and reporting processes; ERP implementation experience is an advantage.
