Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join our client, a reputable construction company, in their Sydney office. As a key member of the senior management team, you will be responsible for leading the finance function and providing strategic financial guidance to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the finance team of 5 and oversee the budgeting and forecasting process (opex and capex)
  • Develop and implement group strategic plans
  • Prepare and present monthly reporting packs, including commentaries, to the CEO and board of directors
  • Ensure compliance with external reporting and tax requirements
  • Drive process and system improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Manage group cash flow and provide commercial analysis to support business decisions

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience as a CFO in a construction business
  • 15+ years of total experience in finance and accounting
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to drive strategy through to execution
