Job Overview


We are seeking experienced civil engineers to design and develop road projects. In this role, you will apply technical expertise and project management skills to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet our clients' objectives.
The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure designs are executed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop road projects using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D or 12D.
Evaluate and ensure compliance with Main Roads WA standards in all aspects of design and project execution.
Collaborate with project managers and structural engineers to deliver integrated solutions for major highway projects.
Assist in the preparation of project plans, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for roadworks, intersections and other civil infrastructure elements.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Liaise with local authorities and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Conduct reviews of designs and documentation to ensure quality, accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
Uphold adherence to safety and environmental regulations during project delivery.
Incorporate sustainable engineering practices into designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.

Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
5-12 years of experience in civil engineering with a strong focus on road and highway projects.
Proven experience working on projects with transport authorities.
Proficiency in road design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD or 12D.
Strong knowledge of engineering practices and excellent problem-solving skills.
