Senior Highway Designer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality civil engineering drawings for highways, interchanges, and roadworks using advanced software tools.
Key Responsibilities:- Detailed Design Drafting: Develop comprehensive civil engineering designs that meet project objectives and Main Roads WA standards.
- MRWA Standards Compliance: Ensure alignment with Main Roads WA guidelines, specifications, and protocols in all deliverables.
- Documentation Preparation: Create and manage detailed drawing sets, including plans, profiles, cross-sections, and detail sheets for tender, construction, and as-built purposes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver coordinated drawing packages.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct self-checks and peer reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of deliverables.
- Mentoring: Provide technical support and guidance to less-experienced drafters within the team.
- BIM & Digital Engineering: Support the adoption of digital engineering workflows, including data management and model collaboration.
The successful candidate will possess advanced skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, as well as experience delivering projects for major highway and road infrastructure projects using Western Australia standards. They will also have a strong focus on quality assurance and documentation preparation.
