The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to ensure designs, planning, and execution meet project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and review road and highway designs, including geometric alignment, pavement, drainage, and earthworks, using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or 12D.
- Ensure compliance with Main Roads WA standards, guidelines, and specifications in all aspects of design and project execution.
- Collaborate with project managers, structural engineers, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions for major highway projects.
- Assist in the preparation of project plans, technical specifications, and tender documentation.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis for roadworks, intersections, and other civil infrastructure elements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
- Liaise with local authorities, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and approvals are obtained.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct reviews of designs and documentation to ensure quality, accuracy, and alignment with project objectives.
- Uphold strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations during project delivery.
- Incorporate sustainable engineering practices into designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.

- Proven experience working on projects with transport authorities.
- Proficiency in road design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or 12D.
- Strong knowledge of engineering practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
