We are seeking a professional to work in the field of Family Violence Support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Screen, triage and assess clients experiencing family violence, providing crisis response and referrals aligned with practice frameworks and risk tools.
  • Prioritise risk and needs of women and children, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide support via phone, in-person and outreach services, referring clients to specialist practitioners when necessary.
  • Initiate Central Information Point requests and service allocations, applying for client brokerage as required.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring compliance with privacy and information sharing policies.
  • Engage in training, supervision and contribute to service model improvements, sharing learnings across teams.
About You

We require an experienced professional who has:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification, such as Social Work or Psychology.
  • Experience working in high-pressure environments, with knowledge of referral and support options available to women and children affected by family violence.
  • Knowledge of cultural safety requirements and the ability to develop action plans with clients.
  • Significant experience within Women's and Children's Services, Integrated Family Services or similar.
  • The ability to positively contribute to consultation processes, reflective practice and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

  • Exemption under policy guidelines.
  • A Bachelor of Social Work or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant professional experience, or a related qualification meeting minimum requirements.
  • Cultural knowledge and experience, or lived experience with barriers to educational pathways.
