
Family Violence Specialist Practitioner

This role plays a vital part in the provision of case management services to women and children affected by family violence.
- The Family Violence Specialist Practitioner will deliver intensive short to longer-term case management services to women and children who have experienced family violence.
- The position contributes extensive knowledge and understanding of family violence in the provision of case management, working with clients living in the community or other forms of accommodation.
The Family Violence Specialist Practitioner will work with women and children presenting with complex needs and behaviours, including trauma, substance abuse, mental health issues, parenting difficulties, and disability.
- Deliver high-quality outreach case management services through trauma-informed systems and developmental frameworks.
- Facilitate a multi-disciplinary team approach to provide a collaborative response for women and young people impacted by family violence.
- Undertake comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning with women and children.
- Coordinate referrals for support and liaise with specialist services as required.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide outreach case management and respond appropriately to complex needs and behaviours.
- Experience working in the family violence sector and with culturally and linguistically diverse or indigenous backgrounds.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the impacts of family violence and ability to apply theoretical frameworks to practice.
- A current Full Australian Driver's License.
- SCHADS Level 5 salary plus super and salary packaging.
