About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Family Violence Specialist to join our team at Anglicare Victoria. As a Family Violence Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting families, children, and young people who are experiencing high-risk family violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of families, children, and young people
  • Develop and implement interventions to enhance parenting capacity and family functioning, with a focus on family violence
  • Provide secondary consultation and co-work with other practitioners to ensure a comprehensive response to family violence
  • Develop key relationships and work collaboratively with government agencies and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to family violence
  • Have a solid understanding of the Child Protection and Welfare system in Victoria and be able to apply this knowledge in practice
Requirements
  • Experience in managing risk and safety, particularly in the context of family violence
  • Strong reflective practice skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with government agencies and other stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of family violence, including perpetrator family violence, and ability to apply contemporary theoretical frameworks
