We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Family Services Practitioner to join our team at Anglicare Victoria. As a key member of our Rapid Response program, you will work intensively with families at the point of crisis, providing short-term and intensive support to address immediate needs and promote long-term stability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safety-focused plans with child protection and the family to address crisis and immediate needs.
- Provide in-home support to families, utilizing a strengths-based approach that incorporates coaching and role modeling to build on parental strengths and skills.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated response to family needs.
- Assess risk and develop strategies to mitigate harm and promote safety.
- Professional experience and relevant qualification(s) in social work, psychology, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience working with families with complex needs, mental health, AOD, and family violence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and rapport with families.
- Ability to work outside of normal hours to see families together and at home.
- A competitive salary starting at $102,554.40 plus super.
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 plus an entertainment card.
- A fixed term position covering a period up until 31st July 2024.
