About the Role

MacKillop Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Care Worker to join our Out of Home Care Program in Bendigo VIC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide emotional and functional support to young people in our care
  • Develop and implement personalized care plans to promote their well-being and independence
  • Participate in the day-to-day operation of the unit, including household duties and administrative tasks
  • Collaborate with the Residential House Supervisor and other team members to ensure a safe and supportive environment

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or other similar tertiary qualifications
  • A genuine interest in young people and their well-being
  • Demonstrated empathy and ability to work with young people in a non-judgmental manner
  • Highly developed emotional self-regulation skills and ability to set consistent boundaries
